Lynwood Park Receives Grant for Outdoor Fitness Center

The funds will also be used to refurbish some areas.

The Lynwood Recreation and Community Services Department will be able to add some new facilities and carry out some renovations in Lynwood City Park thanks to a $250,000 grant from the Los Angeles County Regional Park & Open Space District.

According to a city of Lynwood issued press release, the Recreation and Community Services Department will use and allocate the money in the following ways:

-$160,000 will be used to build a new outdoor fitness zone, which will be located in the south side of the park, where a playground formerly stood. The exercising area will host weather proof outdoor fitness machines and be housed under a shade structure.
