U.S. Citizenship Enrollment Drive Scheduled for Los Angeles

Organizers are expecting to help hundreds of people with citizenship applications.

The following information is from a press-release provided by organizers of the event. 

WHAT:  As part of a nationwide effort, representatives from eighty different organizations from throughout  the country will gather in Los Angeles County to conduct a “Super-Mega Citizenship Workshop,” an event that will enable up to 500 eligible green card holders and aspiring citizens to apply for American citizenship.  This event will be one of the largest and most diverse of its kind to date in Los Angeles County.

Attendees will receive free, expert assistance from volunteer attorneys to complete their application and learn how to successfully go through the naturalization process.

Assistance will be available in 9 languages including English, Bangla, Chinese, Hindi, Korean, Spanish, Tagalog, Urdu, and Vietnamese demonstrating the diversity of Los Angeles’s vibrant immigrant communities.

Interviews with legal permanent residents seeking citizenship, service providers, and experts on the naturalization process and immigration reform efforts are available upon request.
