From Record Highs to Rainy Skies

The National Weather Service is predicting rain and cool weather to close out the week that started with record high temperatures.

Much like the roller coaster election season, the weather this week will see wild swings for the region.

The week began with record heat in the 90s in the South Gate and Lynwood areas, but it will close out with cool showers, according to the National Weather Services.

Forecasters are predicting a 20 percent chance of rain today steadily increasing to a 50 percent chance of rain Friday. Temperatures are expected to hover in the mid 60 with nighttime lows in the mid 40s.
