Session 3: 11:30 am – 12:00 noon (Spanish)

Session 4: 12:00 noon – 12:30 pm (English)

Where: St. Francis Medical Center

3630 E. Imperial Highway, Patient Tower Auditorium

Lynwood, CA 90262

Why: According to the American Heart Association, 88 percent of cardiac arrests (heart suddenly stops beating) occur at home. Less than eight percent of cardiac arrest victims outside the hospital setting survive. Immediate and effective CPR can more than double a victim’s chance of survival. Administering CPR could save the life of a family member or other loved one.

How: To register for a session, please call the hospital’s Health Benefits Resource Center at (800) 603-9355 or (310) 900-7380.

CPR instructors will demonstrate the proper techniques of Hands-Only CPR, and participants will have the opportunity to practice on mannequins. The training will not result in CPR certification, but information on how you can get certified will be available.
