Vote Now: Who should be crowned Miss South Gate tonight?

The 2012 will take place tonight at the . The contestants have been training hard for this event and are ready to compete for the honor.

Below is a list of the candidates: 

Esmeralda Arredondo, age 21, was born in Artesia, California but raised in South Gate. She graduated from South Gate High School in 2008 and currently attends El Camino College.

Jennifer Felix, age 25, was  born in Watts, California but raised in South Gate. She graduated from South Gate High School in 2005, and is an alum of California State University - Fullerton where she majored in Communications with a specialty in Radio, TV and Film.

Yary Flores, age 16, was Born in neighboring Lynwood, but raised in South Gate. She is youngest of the contestants and currently attends St. Josephs High School, and will graduate in 2013.

Isela “Sara” Ordonez, age 21, was born in neighboring Huntington Park,  but raised in South Gate. She graduated from South Gate High School in 2009 and currently attends East Los Angeles College.
 

Jessica Iniguez, age 17, was born in neighboring Downey, California, but raised in South Gate. She is Junior at South East High School and will be graduating in 2013.

Genesis “Loammy” Rios, age 21, was born in Acapulco, Mexico but was raised in South Gate since she was 1. She graduated from Whittier High School in 2008, and currently attends Cerritos College.

Sol Salguero, age 20, was born in Guatemala but raised in South Gate. She graduated from South East High School in 2009 and currently attends East Los Angeles College.

Jocelin Aguirre, age 19, was born in neighboring Downey but was raised in South Gate. She graduated from Warren High School in 2010, and currently attends Rio Hondo Community College.

Mirriam Serrano, age 23, was Born in Los Angeles  but raised in South Gate. She graduated from South Gate High School in 2006, and is also an alumni of the University of California – Los Angeles, where she majored in International Development Studies.

The 2012 Miss South Gate Pageant will take place on Friday at 7:30. People are welcomed to arrive as early as 6:30 pm. Tickets will cost $8 at the door, but $5 if purchased prior at the South Gate Chamber of Commerce.
