Wanna Learn CPR? Got 10 Minutes? Firefighters in South Gate Are Standing By

Known as "Sidewalk CPR," the idea is that CPR can be taught in 10 minutes.

CPR will be taught in more than 90 locations through Los Angeles County today, including South Gate.

Known as "Sidewalk CPR," the idea is that CPR can be taught in 10 minutes. With this knowledge applied at the scene, a cardiac arrest victim can be kept alive until paramedics arrive.

The program is offered by the Los Angeles County Emergency Medical Services Agency.

The classes are taught by county firefighters and other medical professionals.

Personnel will be on hand from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at Wal-Mart , 5871 Firestone Ave. in South Gate.
