“I strongly oppose this hurtful bill that abandons the students who need us the most,” said Congresswoman Hahn. “Every child deserves equal access to a quality education regardless of race, income or disability. In the communities I serve, many schools and children rely on the education resources and opportunities that this bill devastates.”

“This bill would turn back the progress of America’s youth at a time when we should be setting them up for academic excellence and success. These hurtful cuts reject our moral responsibility to help our children achieve the bright future they deserve. As a former educator, I cannot in good conscience support a bill that inflicts needless suffering on families and hampers the growth and development of our children.”

“I stand with my colleagues in the Congressional Black Caucus, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, and the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus in fighting for equality and accountability for all America’s children.”
