One Killed, Two Injured in Fiery Crash that Clogs 91 Freeway

One person was killed and two others suffered minor injuries in a multiple-vehicle collision and fire tonight on the Artesia (91) Freeway in Artesia.

The crash was reported at 9:05 p.m. on the eastbound side of the freeway at Pioneer Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.

All lanes on the eastbound side were closed with traffic diverted to Pioneer Boulevard, said CHP Officer Cheyenne Quesada.

The closure caused a major traffic back up on the eastbound Artesia Freeway. All lanes were reopened just after 2 a.m., according to the CHP.
