South Gate Police Nab Suspect After Vehicle Pursuit

On Tuesday, June 25, at approximately 12:53 a.m., the South Gate Police Department (SGPD) carried out a traffic stop near the intersection of Salt Lake Avenue and Ardene Avenue.

An officer decided to pull over the vehicle after noticing that it had no tail or front lights.

“The officer walked  up to make contact and the driver took off,” said Captain Keith Hupp of the SGPD. “A short pursuit followed.”
