The South Gate Police Department (SGPD) has told South Gate – Lynwood Patch Latino that all lanes are now open.

According the SGPD, the Gas Company has found a temporary fix to the leak, but is still in the process of finding a permanent solution for the broken gas main.

A contractor accidentally ruptured a natural gas main near Firestone and Atlantic boulevards in South Gate.
Traffic to the area is being routed away while work crews fix problem, according to city officials.
