By Patch Staff

On Tuesday’s, May 22, 2013, Lynwood City Council meeting a representative of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) told councilmembers that work was being done to address complaints related to the Los Globos Night Club,  located on the corner of Osgood Avenue and Martin Luther King Boulevard.

“There were several concerns that were raised by community members about various criminal acts,” said Captain Joseph M. Gooden of the LASD Century Sheriff's station. “I can’t go into a lot of detail, but there are some active investigations.”

According to Gooden, the concerns brought by residents included alleged traffic accidents, instances of public drinking, loitering and accusations of prostitution near the nightclub.

Mayor Pro Tem Ramon Rodriguez expressed support for the LASD's decision to act upon the complaints of residents.

“I am glad you are taking action,” said Rodriguez. “You wont believe how my times we get calls from the residents in reference to troubled areas, and Los Globos has been one of them.”
