Lynwood: Movies at the Park 2013

Lynwood’s second largest park, Yvonne Burke/Ham Park will become an outdoor movie theater on Thursday with a high inflatable screen, for the annual “Movies in the Park Nights.”

For ten consecutive Thursday’s, starting on June 27, family friendly films will be shown at the aforementioned park for all to enjoy.  The opening film for this Thursday is scheduled to be: "Escape from Planet Earth.”

The following movies are also to be screened throughout the summer: “Oz the Great and Powerful,” “Ice Age, Continental Drift,” and “Jack the Giant Slayer.”

Films will be shown every Thursday of the summer at 7:45 p.m.  The next showings, after the inaugural June 27 screening,  are scheduled to take place on July 11, 18, 25 and August 1, 8, 15, 22, 29.

A small concession stand will be available for snacks and drinks. However, starting on July 11, movie-goers will also have the chance to purchase goods at the Lynwood Farmers Market, which is set to take place from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
