South Gate Car Crash Results in Minor Injuries

The South Gate Police Department (SGPD) has provided Patch with the details of a recent car crash. The incident occurred around 3:35 p.m. June 6, 2013, near the intersection of Ardmore Avenue and Cypress Avenue.

“We responded to a report of a traffic collision with unknown injuries,” said Lieutenant Ignacio Patino of the SGPD. “Upon our arrival we located an older Ford sedan rolled over.”

The Ford crashed with a Pontiac sedan, and its passengers, an adult male and female, sustained minor injuries.

“The female passenger complained of pains to her knee, while the male driver sustained injury to his left soldier and minor cuts to both hands,” said Lt. Patino. “Both of these passengers were taken to St. Francis Medical Center.”

The driver of the Pontiac did not sustain any injuries. Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
