South Gate Patch Latino is looking for voices in our community that can help us understand and learn more about each other. We’re looking for students, teachers, small business owners, community leaders, moms and dads.  If you’ve got something interesting to say, we want to hear it!

As a local blogger for Patch Latino, you can use our site to voice your observations and opinions.  South Gate Patch Latino is a place for discussion, and honestly, we can’t think of a better way to get the conversation going.

Topics are completely up to the writer, and there is no restriction on your creative freedom. Of course, this is a family site, so use appropriate discretion.

If you think you’re interested, but not sure how to go about it, I’ll teach you. If you already have a blog, that’s even better! We can use some of your entries and drive readers to your site.

All content will belong to you, always. And, you’re free to post whatever you write anywhere else.

Honestly, we just want to hear YOU.

E-mail me if you’re interested at alejandro.lopezdeharo@patch.com.

I wish we could have more representation in Hollydale; the East end of South Gate. We used to have the best quality of life but while the City was fixing up other parts of the City they neglected Hollydale. We HAD a Stationary Store, a candy store, McCoys market, a very nice pharmacy and paint store. We HAD a small department store and much more. Now all we have are dime a dozen religious icon and party stores along with about 10 barber & salons within 3 blocks of each other. I think the City is putting way too much attention to one part of the City and not enough to Hollydale. Thanks for letting me vent. virginia
