Authorities Identify Man Killed on California Avenue

The victim was a resident of South Gate.

The man who was shot and killed on California Avenue has been identified by authorities as Angelo Ortuno, 21, of South Gate.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department (LASD) detectives were dispatched to the 9500 block of California Avenue in South Gate, at approximately 4:19 a.m. The South Gate Police Department (SGPD) had arrived previously on scene, but turned over the investigation to the LASD when it became a homicide. 

Ortuno was declared dead at the scene. 

No more information on the shooting has been released, and sheriff's homicide detectives are investigating.

One of the critics say the movie is set to modern music. I will not watch if this is true. TheRead More 1920's music is 1/2 of what made the Gatsby's memorable. Modern music will take away from the story of Scott Fitgerald's generation.
