Deputies Arrest Two in Possible Lynwood Home Burglary

Authorities told Patch that one suspect was allegedly spotted entering a home through its backyard, according to a neighbor.

This morning, at approximately 11:00 a.m., South Gate – Lynwood Patch Latino witnessed a group of Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) deputies on the corner of Long Beach Boulevard and Agnes Street, in Lynwood.

The deputies at the scene would not elaborate on the incident. However, the Century Sheriff’s Station has informed Patch that they were responding to a possible burglary in progress at a residence in the 3500 block of Agnes St.

“A resident called into the station because they saw an individual go into the backyard of their neighbor,” said Lieutenant Ernie Chavez from Sheriff’s Century Station in a brief interview with Patch. “The deputies immediately responded and setup a containment around the location.”

The LASD has arrested two individuals at the scene and are currently investigating whether a crime took place.

“The containment is no longer there and we are going to contact the homeowners to see what exactly transpired,” concluded Lt. Chavez.

I remember when all those pocket parks were built. The City had high hopes for the new greenery andRead More places for the kids to play. Now I hear from City Council that the parks are being abused by the taggers and gangs. Our Police Chief Randy Davis says he will continue to monitor the situation until it is safe once again.

The Parks dept helps the VFW, but it's the VFW who set the agenda and gets the speakers. From theRead More last time I was at the meetings( Park and REc) it was Nick Godoy who is in charge

Thanks for the information Cynthia and Allen. Nick Godoy talks at Council all the time about theRead More Memorial and Veteran's events including the Banners along Tweedy Blvd. I would guess Paul Adams would direct our questions to him.

One of the critics say the movie is set to modern music. I will not watch if this is true. TheRead More 1920's music is 1/2 of what made the Gatsby's memorable. Modern music will take away from the story of Scott Fitgerald's generation.
