Deputies Arrest Two in Possible Lynwood Home Burglary

Authorities told Patch that one suspect was allegedly spotted entering a home through its backyard, according to a neighbor.

 

This morning, at approximately 11:00 a.m., South Gate – Lynwood Patch Latino witnessed a group of Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) deputies on the corner of Long Beach Boulevard and Agnes Street, in Lynwood.  

The deputies at the scene would not elaborate on the incident. However, the Century Sheriff’s Station has informed Patch that they were responding to a possible burglary in progress at a residence in the 3500 block of Agnes St.

“A resident called into the station because they saw an individual go into the backyard of their neighbor,” said Lieutenant Ernie Chavez from Sheriff’s Century Station in a brief interview with Patch. “The deputies immediately responded and setup a containment around the location.”

The LASD has arrested two individuals at the scene and are currently investigating whether a crime took place.

“The containment is no longer there and we are going to contact the homeowners to see what exactly transpired,” concluded Lt. Chavez.
