Hollydale Shooting Under Investigation

No suspects have been apprehended.

 

The South Gate Police Department (SGPD) has informed Patch of an ongoing investigation related to a recent Hollydale area shooting. The incident took place during  the morning of Tuesday, April 30, and the SGPD responded to it shortly after a nearby hospital placed a call at 10:50 a.m.

“[The] SGPD received a call of a gunshot victim at Downey Community Hospital,” wrote Captain Keith Hupp of the SGPD via email. “The victim was later transported from Downey Community Hospital to St. Francis [Medical Center] in Lynwood.”

The SGPD has determined that the shooting took place in an alley located near the area of Garfield Avenue and Monroe Avenue. No more details on the state of the victim were provided by the SGPD. 

“The case is being investigated by South Gate Police detectives,” said Capt. Hupp. “No suspect information has been released at this time.”
