LASD Arrests Man in Connection to Carjacking

The suspect was arrested in Lynwood.

 

LYNWOOD (CNS) - A man who allegedly carjacked a vehicle at gunpoint in Compton today was arrested a short time later in Lynwood, and authorities sought his accomplice.

The suspect was taken into custody after the vehicle crashed near Long Beach Boulevard and the Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway following the 2:40 a.m. crime, said sheriff's Sgt. James Duran of the Century Station. His name was not immediately released.

Authorities sought the second man. No injuries were involved in the carjacking, Duran said.
