A man was allegedly shot inside his vehicle on Wright Road in South Gate, at about 1:30 p.m., according to witnesses who heard several gun shots.
Though the South Gate Police Department has not released any information, but they have confirmed that a shooting took place.
According to a South Gate resident, who asked to have her name withheld, she heard several gun shots from inside her home.
Another witness claimed to have seen the alleged victim driving his SUV, get out after he was shot, then collapsed a few feet away.
The South Gate resident also told Patch that she saw a bullet hole in the car's passenger window, clothes with blood on the ground and a cell phone.
As of about 2:45 p.m. K-9 dogs were sniffing the area, she said.
