NORWALK (CNS) - A man was shot and killed in Norwalk this morning, authorities said.
The shooting happened around 1 a.m. in the 11500 block of Angell Street, said Lt. Stacy Morgan of the Los Angeles County sheriff's Norwalk Station.
The victim was taken to St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood, Morgan said. He was later pronounced dead, according to Deputy Peter Gomez of the Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau.
Sheriff's Homicide Bureau detectives were dispatched to the scene to investigate the slaying, Gomez said.
