Multi-Agency Effort Leads to Arrest of Suspected Flasher

A South Gate man is accused of exposing himself to several victims within various Los Angeles County cities.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies and a team of other agencies, including Long Beach Police, partnered to build a case against a South Gate man they say exposed himself multiple victims at various locations throughout the county.

Albert Raul Pulido, 26, is currently in a Los Angeles County Jail awaiting transfer to State Prison in connection with a Long Beach incident, authorities said.

Pulido was on parole for indecent exposure at the time of his arrest and wore a tracking device, officials said. A 21-year-old victim who reported she had been flashed in the city of Lynwood led investigators to the suspect.

The woman had used her cell phone to video record the suspect and his vehicle. Two months after the incident, on Oct. 23, she spotted his vehicle in north Long Beach and reported it to police who then tracked it to Pulido, officials said.

California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation Division of Adult Parole were able to give Long Beach investigators a record from the GPS tracking unit that Pulido wore. According to officials, the device to placed him at the scene in Lynwood.

Parole officers then ran a check against several other indecent unsolved exposure incidents and were able to connect him to seven other incidents, sheriff’s authorities said.

At that point, an agent contacted the Sheriff’s Department Special Victims Bureau’s Sexual Assault Felony Enforcement Team, in charge of tracking sex offenders, with this information and requested assistance.

Detectives contacted each victim, whose ages ranged from 14 to 25. Victims identified Pulido as the person who exposed himself to them, authorities said.

Pulido was a non-posted sex registrant from South Gate and was current with his registration, according to investigators. He has an extensive history of indecent exposure dating back to 2002, investigators said.

Detectives suspect said he may have committed other acts of indecent exposure and ask anyone with information on Pulido’s activities to call the Sheriff’s Department – Special Victims Bureau at (877) 710-5273.

The investigation and arrest was a team effort between Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department – Special Victims Bureau, in conjunction with the Long Beach Police Department, California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation, South Gate Police Department, and Bell Gardens Police Department.
