Second Homicide of 2012
The recent shooting death of a teenager is the second homicide reported in South Gate by the police.
Last night, a was shot in the head as she rode as a passenger inside a vehicle near Gardendale Street and south of Dakota Avenue. The victim was transported to St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood where she died from her wounds early this morning.
The identification of the teenage victim is being witheld by police at this time.
