South East High Stabbing Case Given Another Pre-Trial Hearing Date

Abraham López, the man accused of fatally stabbing Cindi Santana, 17, his alleged ex-girlfriend, within South Gate’s South East High School on September 2011, will stand before another pre-trial hearing come August 30.

López recently changed lawyers, according to courtroom staff at the Norwalk Courthouse.   Nicholas Rosenberg, an independent Los Angeles criminal defense attorney, took over the case from Scott Herin, a Los Angeles County Deputy Public Defender.

López, 18 at the time of the stabbing, faces several charges, including murder.  

In May 2012, López pleaded not guilty to the charges.
