LYNWOOD (CNS) - A man who ran down a 25-year-old man with whom he had
argued at a party in Lynwood is in custody on suspicion of murder,
authorities said.
Anthony Hernandez, 23, was booked into the Century Sheriff's Station
with no bail for the death of Ivan Torres, 25, of Inglewood, said Lt. Holly
Francisco of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Homicide Bureau.

Torres was struck in the 11100 block of Linden Street, just north of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, at 3:53 a.m. Sunday, according to sheriff's Sgt. Pauline Panis. L.A. County fire paramedics took him to a hospital, where
he was pronounced dead.
Homicide detectives said Torres argued with Hernandez at a party at a house on the 11100 block of Linden Street. Hernandez later got into his car and deliberately struck Torres, according to Panis.

The suspect and another person left the scene in a compact seen headed
north on Linden Street, according to Panis.
Detectives were continuing their investigation, Francisco said. Anyone with information on the slaying was urged to call the sheriff's homicide bureau
at (323) 890-5500.
