An apparent suicide victim was found hanging from a tree in South Gate Park. The tree was said to be located west of the South Gate Park Auditorium near Southern Avenue.

Police arrived on scene a little after 9:15 a.m.

“We received a call regarding a person down in South Gate Park,” said Lieutenant Jim Teeples of the South Gate Police Department (SGPD). “Officers arrived and located a female that had apparently committed suicide.”

The victim was declared dead shortly after the Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived.

“The Los Angeles County Coroners office and our detectives will notify the family and conduct an investigation [to determine] what actually happened,” said Lt. Teeples.

The victim is believed to be an adult.

One of the critics say the movie is set to modern music. I will not watch if this is true. TheRead More 1920's music is 1/2 of what made the Gatsby's memorable. Modern music will take away from the story of Scott Fitgerald's generation.
