City Council To Consider Budget Tonight
The South Gate City Council will discuss and consider approving the city budget after a public hearing.
Today’s meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. and will take up several topics of interest to South Gate. Here are the three the most important happenings on the agenda:
1) The City Conuncil will conduct a public hearing to consider approving the municipal budget for the 2012-1013 fiscal year.

2) The City Council will consider approving a resolution that urges Governor Jerry Brown the California State Legislature and to support Assembly Bill 1081. The bill if passed would create a standard where local goverments would only detain non-nationals for deportation if they have felony convictions that are either serious or violent.
3) Resolution Accepting Alcoholic Beverages Control for the Grant Assistance Program for overtime expenses associated with municipal police officers.
