Hollydale Park Restroom Renovated

The restroom had not gone through a full refurbishment since the early 1980's.

The complete restoration of the Hollydale Regional Park's playground restroom has been finished, and park officials have told Patch that it will soon be open to the public.

“The work has already been completed,” said Paul Adams, director of Parks and Recreation for the city of South Gate. “We found some electrical and ceiling work that needed to be done.”

The restroom was also given a fresh splash of lively paint colors, among other things.

This was the first complete restoration of the playground restroom since it was built in the early 1980's. Unlike the other public restroom, located near the equestrian arena, which was fully renovated in 2008, according to Adams.

The South Gate City Council appropriated approximately $9,000 in grant funds to renovate the restroom. This was a decision that is likely bring some reliefto  the various residents who have expressed concern over the maintance of public restrooms within Hollydale Regional Park.
