No Traffic Nightmares Expected with I-5 Closing

Tonight's I-5 closing is not expected to cause much trouble for drivers.

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will close off the Santa Ana Freeway (I-5) from 11:45 p.m. tonight to 4 a.m. tomorrow because of ongoing construction projects. The night times of this closure have led transportation officials to believe that most drivers will not be affected.

“Caltran is not anticipating severe impacts,” said Judy Gish, spokesperson for Caltrans. “[However], we certainly want to notify the public and anone who might be travelling.”
