SoCal Connected To Report on Alleged Corruption in Compton

Independent public access channel to air investigation on alleged misdeeds of neighboring city council.

SoCal Connected, an award-winning news program on KCET Channel 28, will be airing an investigation at 5:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. that will shed some light into the alleged mishandling of finances by the Compton City Council.

According to a press-release from Socal Connected, correspondent Laurel Erickson is said to have discovered that the current Compton council earns the bulk of their salary by attending meetings that result in no action, and that last less than 5 minutes.

Erickson will also look into a $3.5 million loan to a local council supporter that has not been paid back.
