Santillan-Beas, who is seeking re-election this November, reportedly did not know why the Senator was calling her up to the stage during last week’s the celebration.

“I was shocked, plus I’m sure everyone else was wondering why I was being called up by the Senator, too”, said Santillan-Beas in statement. “I’m honored to receive the recognition from his office.”
