The Zimmerman Trial

Lots of hate on the internet regarding the murder trial of George Zimmerman. People who wish to communicate with another on this subject cannot communicate, it becomes a hate-filled tirade and shouting match of race and presumed guilt.

It is difficult to listen to the hate. We have this story because the media found this one to be an story - period. The media does not cover every murder or death, on this one, they can. They have video, audio and a Presidential intercession.

People are fighting over DNA proof, failure by the incompetent police department and how we are all missing the point and Zimmerman is guilty.

I am not naive, but the reality is that Zimmerman is innocent. If I am accused of a crime, I am innocent until a jury decides as such. It doesn't matter how it looks, I am innocent. In this case, George Zimmerman is innocent. It doesn't matter if he looks like he is guilty, we need to wait and learn of the jury. I have served as a juror and being a juror is one where we do our best with what we have. It isn't TV and you never have all the answers.

Knowing that, the entire argument regarding the George Zimmerman trial is simply this: A Adult shot a minor. Doesn't matter the color of either party. A minor is dead, at the hands of a adult. Further, we need to see all of the reports of the doctors, police, investigators and witness testimonies, THEN and only then can we learn what happened. Even then, we may never truly know.

If Trayvon did attack George Zimmerman, why did Geroge allow it to get to that point? The police were on the way and he was told not to follow the individual. I would have continued to follow from a safe distance, in my car and directed the police in. I would never have alighted from my vehicle and worse, I would never confront anyone.

No matter, we'll know soon enough once we hear everything. For now, George is innocent. Period. Let's give the jury a chance. In my experience, juries tend to get it right.
