Lynwood Unified Board Member to Visit D.C.

Jose Luis Solache, 32, the current vice-president of the Lynwood Unified School District’s (LUSD) board, has announced that he will be meeting with elected officials and representatives from progressive organizations during a trip to Washington, D.C.

Next week, Solache will attend the 8th annual convening of the People For the American Way Foundation’s Young Elected Officials (YEO) Network, an organization that unites elective progressive leaders under 35  to discuss policy and community building strategies, among other things.

“I always look forward to join this group of young elected officials to share and exchange ideas that will help me better represent our Lynwood community,” said Solache in a statement.

A press – release issued by Solache emphasized that this trip is not paid at taxpayer expense.
