South Gate Park Gets New Volleyball Courts

The synthetic turf courts were opened in April.

As spring gets closer to summer, South Gate residents can continue to enjoy the two new volleyball courts in South Gate Park by the picnic areas near Hildreth Avenue.

“South Gate Park has brand new outdoor volleyball courts, complete with synthetic turf to hold up to all the use and still stay green and soft”, said the Parks and Recreation announcement on the city website.

Grants fund funded the project to the delight of residents who are the already giving them plenty of use, according to Paul Adams, Director of Parks and Recreation, to Patch.
