City of South Gate Police Department

The City of South Gate Police Department is located next door to City Hall near downtown.  The large building provides the main base for police activity throughout the city. Services include animal control, crime prevention programs and patrol units. The traffic and parking enforcement units and gang control units are also stationed on-site. Vehicle releases and crime report copies, as well as non-emergency service requests, can be obtained seven days a week during normal business hours, though the facility is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for emergencies.
