The East Los Angeles College Education Center was established in 1997 and resided for a short stint in Huntington Park before relocating to South Gate. The facility offers two- and four-year programs to its students, with majors such as business administration and engineering, amongst others. The college is comprised of 24 classrooms, in addition to a computer lab, a library and a bookstore. A student services center is also on campus and resides directly with the front doors of the college. The school also offers a number of athletic programs for men and women, including basketball, baseball and cross country. Applications can be found and completed online or at the school.
