El Palenque Bar

El Palenque Bar is a brightly colored, fun bar located near downtown South Gate. It offers a lime green exterior that stands out from the rest of the block, as well as old-style saloon doors that can't be missed. The bar features a throw-back feel, with a long bar just inside the front doors and barely enough room for the pool table that takes up the rest of the interior. It has become a popular favorite among locals and is the earliest opening bar within the neighborhood, and starts serving at 11am. The bar specializes in beers, both American and Mexican, with other imports available, too.
