You might want to double check your article. Your headline is Salvation Army, and your articleRead More refers to American Red Cross. Both are wonderful organizations that have a role in disaster response, but they are very different.

'Scuse me, but there seems to be some difference of opinion about Walnut Park. Walnut Park is not aRead More city, and has no regular elected government; although they do have one or two informal community organizations that meet on an as-needed basis, and a few local, vocal community activists. Walnut Park is a County / unincorporated area, governed directly by the Board of Supervisors. There is no City of Walnut, at least not around here. (There is, a few miles East, near the county line.) I'll bet they know about the cruising, too, because Walnut Park completely surrounds Long Beach / Pacific Boulevard for a mile or so. But I don't live there, and can't speak for them. My advice is: if you want to know about Walnut Park, talk to the people who live there.

Hi Allen, If we start working on the root of the problem we can improve the quality of life in ourRead More city. City of Walnut or whatever you want to call it is a haven for the cruisers. South Gate PD is putting a lot of effort on trying to control the situation. If they keep ignoring the problem we will end up in square one. I’m not sure how the people from Walnut can allowed for this to keep happening, I know it’s not our city or county, but as long as it drags problems to our city it automatically becomes our problem. It’s up to us if we ignore it or do something about. thank you

I am in agreement with Tony, each community needs to step up and get involved on issues that affectRead More Quality Of Life. We are doing best we can with the resources available. If we take responsibility of other issues then our Community will feel the consequences. We need to do our part and as best as we can to concentrate on what continues to be ongoing problems.
